Climbing Mill Creek | Warm Up Wall

Jami, Whitney, Claire, Nic and I all ventured up Paradise Valley for some climbing in Mill Creek today. Given the fact that we were new to the area, we decided to spend some time at Warm Up Wall making our way up the 5.easy routes. They did not disappoint! Kevin’s guide assisted us in finding the wall and we all had a perfectly enjoyable time scampering up the clean rock. Everything we spent time on was varied, interesting and very fun to climb. The weather was great until a rain cloud decided to unload on us, and then it was time to head home. Happy Birthday to Me

Well, another year has gone by and everyone tells me that I am a little bit older today. Since I consider today to be my own personal holiday I have taken the day off, am going to shirk responsibility and be a lazy bum. Yahoo! Over this last weekend we had a housewarming / birthday party, and we want to thank all of you who attended for showing up and drinking all our beer! :) I have added some photos to our gallery that document the gathering, and you can find them here: House Warming Party. The best part of the day was when my close friend Johnny showed up to surprise me. Given that it was a 12 hour drive for him to make his way over to Bozeman, it meant a great deal to me to have him there. Thanks Johnny, having you there was the best present I got!

Almost Done | Party Time

It’s been 9 months since we bought our first house, and it’s finally (almost) done!! Come by on August 5th and join us in breaking in our “new” house and giving Marc a hard time about entering his mid-thirties. :) We’ll have lots of beer, lots of food, and later in the evening we’ll break in our new fire pit on the back patio.

Give either Jami or I a quick email to get the details and let us know if you think you might show up, we wouldn’t want to run out of beer! We’ll send out a reminder in a couple weeks to check back in if you aren’t sure yet. We’re looking forward to finally partying it up.

PS: This applies to you out-of-town folks to remind you to come visit us soon…

The House | New Grass

After spending much of the last year quite naked, the dirt that surrounds or humble abode is now wearing a nice new coat of new green grass. It is long and luscious and a huge family effort was put forth yesterday to arrange the damp green rolls upon the new layer of nice topsoil. The grass and the dirt underneath are very happy to finally meet and over the next few weeks Jami and I are going to spread some watery love over the two ensure it has a long, happy, and weed free relationship over the next bunch of years. I just love the “go” button on the sprinkler system.

Thanks to all the people that helped, our love goes out to you!

Go Italy | Worldcup

Easily one of the best and most competitive World Cup games I have watched yet. Both teams played very strong, and it was a very entertaining game to watch. It was also nice to see the referees actually let the two teams play as opposed to calling a foul every time two opposing players touched each other… (i.e. the Italy vs US game). Germany played a very good game and the German goalkeeper played outstanding! Alas, Italy finally connnected in the end and it’s off to the finals for them.. :) Go Italy!
