I have finally gotten the chance to publish some new pictures of our little monkey. He is nine months old, and will surely start walking any day now. He stands on his own all the time (his free standing record is about 30 seconds), and like any little boy his age, everything within his reach go into his mouth. He has two days of skiing under his belt, and loves going on outside adventures with Jami, Whitney and I. He goes to work with me every day (I have a daycare at work), and as you can see from the pictures he is still pretty damn cute. He is especially cute on the ski lift.
Orin just got his fourth haircut from aunt Katie and with every one he looks more and more like a little boy and less like a little baby. Orin also LOVES to climb. Now this might be more curiosity than anything but the climber in me has seen him pull some amazing feats for a nine month old kid. I can’t wait to get a harness and rope on him this summer and put him on some real rock to see what he can do!
Orin is the best part of my day.
Give me one picture please… one picture only… Orin is two and half months old and weighs about 12 pounds and change. He is ridiculously cute most days and loves eating, walking, ski movies and more walking. In a few days we should have a set of more recent pictures up on our web site, heck we might even have a new web site.
Enjoy… Marc & Jami
This Friday (December 8th) Jami and I found out that we are officially about 8 weeks pregnant. It always make me laugh to say “we are pregnant.” I played a very important a role in the process for sure, but the reality of the situation is that Jami is pregnant and I’m just scared | excited | nervous.
From what everyone has told us there is a 97% percent chance of a successful carry if there is a heartbeat at 8 weeks, so we are comfortable letting folks know about the good news! Jami will be due in the middle of July give or take a bit, and we are very excited.
We got an ultrasound on Friday, heard and saw a heartbeat I got a picture. The O.B. said that our baby was about the same size as a gummy bear and in the ultrasound it looked like a little gummy bear as well. So until we decide on a name we are calling it “Gummy.” Since our favorite Gummy color is red I did a little Photoshop work on the picture and colored our little one in red so you have a clue what you are looking at.
This is the newest addition to our the inside of our house. Our good friend Jonathan Raney who is obviously an amazing painter, has spent the last few months creating this fantastic rendering of our favorite picture we took while we were on our Honeymoon a few years ago. The town in the painting is Manarola, a beautiful town in the Cinque Terre (the Italian Rivera). Watching the painting progress from pencil drawing to finished piece was a treat, as I have never been involved in the creative process to that extent. Jonathan put his heart and soul into this painting and it shows.October 30th: I’m “bumping” this post just so I can see this amazing piece of work again. Jonathan, thanks so much for your hard work we are thrilled to have a piece of yours in our lives for many years to come!
Jami and I are in Seattle this weekend for my brothers birthday (Happy Birthday Ryan!), and we all went to see the Broadway musical Wicked. Those who know me know that I usually fall asleep during these kind of events, and I can proudly say that I made through the entire show with barely a nod-off. It was without a doubt the best musical I have ever seen, and my mother has dragged my too many, many shows in my life. Folks were fired up for this show, and I have never witnessed such a tremendous positive reaction from an audience before. It kinda felt like I was at a Beatles concert or something. Great show, great company and overall a great weekend. Happy Birthday Bro…
